The Bottom of the Ocean – 19 February 2026: Calling all crabs! Everything is Crab, the evolutionary roguelike, is set to fully emerge on 8 May 2026 on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Stove. For those who simply must play it immediately, a huge free demo is available on Steam right now.

Adapt and survive in a bright and colourful world where almost everything wants to kill you. Fight and consume other animals or forage food from the environment to gain new evolutions, from your standard eyes and legs and more violent beaks and antlers to something a little wilder, like making your saliva poisonous or growing a pistol shrimp’s pincer. Mix and match over 100 evolutions to create the ultimate lifeform that casts a shadow over those around it... or give in to carcinisation and allow yourself to go full crab. The choice is yours. 

Explore a sprawling world with a living, breathing ecosystem and multiple biomes filled with unique enemy types and points of interest. Go claw-to-claw against giant bosses with distinct attack patterns, and either bob and weave to safety until they leave you alone or take them down for massive rewards. 

Up the ante across 20 levels of Selective Pressure and prove yourself as the apex being – or play in Exploration Mode with reduced difficulty to ease into the game. Take part in hardcore Challenges designed to crack even the toughest of shells. Unlock new genetic variations to put your adaptation skills to the rest with each new run and keep track of everything you’ve unlocked in the handy Codex.
