Secret Mode showcases four games as part of Convergence 2025

Meet Everything is Crab and learn more about Escape the Backrooms, NUTMEG!, and A Storied Life: Tabitha

Leamington Spa, UK – 18 September 2025: Secret Mode has offered a glimpse at four of its upcoming games thanks to a partnership with Convergence Games Showcase 2025, with the reveal of Everything is Crab and a release date for the 1.0 launch of Escape the Backrooms, to another look at previously revealed titles NUTMEG! and A Storied Life: Tabitha.

Leading the event, which returned following a successful 2024 debut, was Fancy Games’ Escape the Backrooms, showcasing one of the new levels that will be part of its 1.0 release. The Overgrowth level will join three other new environments and a heap of additions and changes to excite existing fans and introduce newcomers to the creepy world of the Backrooms. As revealed at Convergence, this update will launch on PC on 23 October.

Newly revealed at Convergence was Everything is Crab, an evolutionary roguelike from debut developer Odd Dreams Digital. Now published by Secret Mode, the game sees players surviving a harsh environment by combining evolutionary traits based on real-world animals to create something that couldn’t ever be considered a crab – if they so choose. Everything is Crab will launch on PC in 2026, though a Steam Playtest is happening right now.

Viewers also got another chance to see gameplay from Sumo Digital's NUTMEG!, the upcoming card-based football management game, and Lab42 Games’ A Storied Life: Tabitha, a wholesome puzzle game. Both games will be coming to PC in 2026.

Catch up on these announcements and even more on the entire Convergence Games Showcase 2025 with the VOD available now on YouTube.
