Production Manager

Greetings from The Bunker! Secret Mode is the newly founded publishing wing of the award-winning Sumo Group Ltd. Our goal is to publish internally developed projects from any of our 11 game development studios across the UK, US, Europe and India, as well as third party independent game developers.

About this role

As Production Manager you will be working with external and internal development teams to build, manage and follow milestone plans; assessing code issues and offering solutions for any production problems. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver quality and excellence for Secret Mode titles, while working closely with our development partners, leadership team and Sumo Group colleagues to achieve those production goals.

In this role, you will

  • Manage title life through the production pipeline once Greenlit (Project Kick off)
  • Set expected standards of game quality and best practices
  • Work with external and internal development teams on the milestone process.
  • Ensure a healthy feedback loop from QA, Marketing and other internal assessments to development teams on game dev and content suggestions and recommendations.
  • Manage certification across all platforms
  • Manage localisation across all platforms
  • Assist with submissions for development teams
  • Help build post launch patch, content and DLC plans.
  • Run Due Diligence checks on potential dev partners
  • Validate Secret Mode production pipeline alongside Sumo Group Development Processes.
  • Help improve communications between teams and across projects
  • Understand the videogame market, trends, competition, foresee future issues before the team and challenges them on those issues
  • To be successful, you will have

  • 3+ years experience of delivering successful project management systems and processes.
  • An understanding of technical game development
  • Experience with entertainment products and content.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, workflow control and communication skills in high-volume conditions.
  • The ability to influence and connect with people at all levels of seniority.
  • An understanding of tech, lifecycles, change, waste, capacity and resource constraints.
  • A desire and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and be able to operate effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is unclear.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving on complex cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in delivering excellent high quality results for high growth startups or games publishers / developers.
