Cozy narrative game A Storied Life: Tabitha is launching on 14 April on PC, alongside a newly announced Nintendo Switch™ version of the game. Eager fans can try out an expanded demo containing three rooms of Tabitha’s home on Steam right now.
A Storied Life: Tabitha asks you to sort through the belongings of a recently deceased loved one and decide what is truly important to a person’s life. Explore Tabitha’s home, presented in a beautiful watercolour-inspired art style, and choose which items you’ll keep, which items to sell, and which items will find a new life somewhere else. Leave no cupboard unopened as you move furniture, unlock cabinets, and dig through drawers to find all the bric-a-brac that made up Tabitha’s life.
You only have one box per room to keep items in. Put your organising skills to the test as you shift and arrange objects to fill up the limited space available. Use tape, bubble wrap, vacuum packs, and envelopes to shrink and protect your chosen items. You can’t save everything, but you can take as long as you like choosing what you will keep.
Use the kept items to fill in the gaps in Tabitha’s memoir. Each object comes with its own set of words, and matching items will help uncover new sides of Tabitha’s life and personality. Follow her story strands or write your own narrative, but keep in mind that a publisher has already expressed interest in her memoir, and a nonsense story isn’t likely to go down well...
Previously announced for PC, A Storied Life: Tabitha will also be launching on Nintendo Switch, allowing you to take Tabitha’s tale wherever you go. An expanded demo containing three rooms and numerous updates is also available now on Steam, giving players one last peek at the game before it launches on 14 April.
